Annika Giannini is the sister of Mikael Blomkvist. She reluctantly agrees to represent Lisbeth Salander in the third book. She's formerly a woman's issue attorney with little experience in handling murder cases, but proves herself to be a shrewd and tactical litigator.
The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest[]
On the third day of Salander's trial, Giannini systematically destroys Teleborian's testimony proving that the Section and Teleborian had conspired to commit Salander at age 12 to protect Zalachenko, that Salander's rights had been repeatedly violated, and that they were once again conspiring against her. She also exposes Bjurman for what he really is and plays the DVD of him raping Lisbeth.
